Pressure Washing & Cleaning Services

For more than 10 years, Vermont Pressure Washing has provided superior pressure washing and cleaning services to residents in Burlington VT, Hanover NH, and the surrounding areas. There are other companies that perform "power washing," but at Vermont Pressure Washing, we do this much differently. We use a commercial grade machine that offers a wide variety of pressure ranges for each individual job. The more controlled pressure, the more completely the cleaning gets done. While other companies use only cold water machines, our machine can produce adjustable HOT water. This guarantees much better results when your property is getting cleaned. We are confident that our pressure washing process will eliminate dirt, grime, algae, moss, mold, and microscopic bacteria from any surface you request us to pressure wash.

Power Washing Vinyl Siding

Dirt, grime and mildew can collect on your home's vinyl siding and if not cleaned, can cause costly repairs, renovations or replacements. These contaminates are removable without using excessive water pressure and minimized chemical use.

Gutter Cleaning

Gutter interiors should be cleaned out in the spring and again in the fall, to keep them from getting clogged and causing drainage problems. We will clean out all of your gutters, including down spouts, and take the compost with us.

Low Pressure Roof Washing

Black streaks on asphalt shingles is known as roof algae. It will only get worse if not taken care of. Algae likes to thrive on the north side of roofs where the proper amount of shade is present. It feeds on the crushed limestone that is used in asphalt shingles. Rain spreads the algae down the roof causing unsightly black streaks. Eventually, the algae will take over the entire roof.

Concrete, Brick, and Block Cleaning

Having your driveway cleaned, along with a house wash, is a great way to increase your Burlington, VT curb appeal. A lot of people do not realize how dirty their driveways, sidewalks, and patios are and are amazed with the difference, once cleaned.

Brick also collects dirt, mold, mildew and must be cleaned. There are many types of brick, some brick cannot withstand as much pressure as others can. We can adjust the pressure to meet these needs.

Kitchen Hood & Range Cleaning

Commercial Hood, Range, and Filters accumulate grease which can contaminate food and may cause a kitchen fire.  The USDA recommends that they be cleaned twice a year by professionals. We use an environmentally friendly cleaning solution along with steam and hot water from the machine.

Cleaning Wood Decks & Restoration

Wood restoration is, probably, the most misunderstood process. Wood is soft and can be easily damaged with too much water pressure. A lot of factors determine what deck cleaner we will use to restore the wood. Once we choose the correct cleaners, we wash the wood with the right amount of pressure. The number one reason a sealer fails is because the wood is not prepared properly. After the wood dries to the proper moisture level, there are several options for the finish.

Cedar Roof Cleaning

Cedar is a natural insulator against the environment; competitors can’t come close to the thermal efficiency of wood. In fact, cedar has twice the thermal resistivity (R-value) of asphalt, 5 times that of slate, 8 times that of concrete, and hundreds of times that of metal and aluminum.

Cedar does not decay in and of itself. Only moisture and different infestations will decay cedar. It has natural preservatives that resist moisture, decay and insect damage. Although in warm, humid climates and on heavily shaded roofs, algae, moss, mold, mildew, lichen and fungi’s will grow, because these organisms retain moisture the cedar will decay in time if not maintained.

When Your Roof Needs Cedar Roof Cleaning

If the shakes or shingles display a brown/dark brown to black tones, these are signs of harmful organism infestations and they need to be cleaned. If you see or suspect you have any of the following you should contact us immediately.

  • Moss – One of the most commons reasons for a full cleaning and treating.
  • Debris – This is hard to avoid and can be a precursor to moss.
  • Algae – Less common by itself, but often accompanies moss.
  • UV rays – Damages all types, but particularly cedar shake.
  • Deterioration – Cedar is subject to potential wood rot, even insect infestation.
  • Aesthetics – Either simply tired of an ugly roof (they can account for a major portion of the frontal view of your home) or in preparation to selling (increasing curb appeal).

Cedar Roof Cleaning is a vital yet dangerous job. We do not recommend doing it yourself. A trained technician will be happy to do the difficult work for you. If you notice the cedar discoloring from moss or mold growth, or the sun’s ultraviolet rays, certain cleaning techniques can be used. As always, Vermont Pressure Washing can handle your cedar roof cleaning needs. Our thorough and professional service can have your home looking like new again.
